Loveland Real Estate
Loveland is a beautiful city located along the Rocky Mountain Front Range, approximately 50 miles north of Denver. With countless opportunities available for residents in business, education, healthcare, recreation and real estate, this unique community offers residents everything they could ever need. Loveland has been honored with such titles as the Arts & Hearts capital of Colorado, AARP Magazine’s #1 place to “Revitalize Your Life,” one of the “100 Best Small Art Towns in America” and as one of U.S. Art Magazine’s top eight “Great Art Destinations.”
Loveland is a haven for residents who enjoy outdoor recreation including golfing, fishing, boating, hiking, biking, horseback riding and camping. Big Thompson Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park, Larimer County Parks, Boyd Lake State Park, Carter Lake, Flatiron Reservoir and Pinewood Reservoir are just a few of the parks and lakes located in the area. Loveland also has three golf courses, tennis courts and the Hatfield Chilson Recreation Center, which features a swimming pool, racquetball courts, basketball courts and a fitness center. Even the winter months offer opportunities for ice fishing, sledding, ice skating, and show shoeing. |
The heart of Loveland can be found in the city’s historic downtown area. As the central business district, downtown combines local retail stores, antique shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries and offices. The historic Rialto Theater, which used to show silent films, is now a community performing arts center. The annual Loveland Sculpture Invitational draws huge crowds each year as one of the largest organized gatherings for sculptors in the country. More than 250 craftsmen are on hand for the show and sale to display thousands of sculptures in a range of materials including bronze, stone, metal, glass and mixed mediums.
The Loveland Historic Museum & Gallery is also in the downtown area, and hosts numerous art events, educational programs and exhibits. Other downtown attractions include Foote Lagoon, which hosts summer concerts, a farmer’s market and many special events throughout the year such as the Sweetheart Balloon Rally, SummerFest in the Rockies, Art in the Park and the Corn Roast Festival. Loveland also has a multitude of shopping and dining options from local boutiques and coffee shops to national retailers and restaurants.
Students living in Loveland receive a quality education for the Thompson R2-J School District as well as several private schools – the Immanuel Lutheran School, Campion Academy and New Vision Charter School. Community colleges and area universities providing higher education opportunities include Colorado State University in Fort Collins, University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Aims Community College, Front Range Community College and Regis University. Real estate in Loveland offers an array of properties such as single family homes, townhomes and condos.
